About Me
CREDENTIALS
|
Thirty-five years ago, I sought and obtained professional help to improve my marriage and myself. This experience enhanced my life in such a profound way that after 25 years of being a high school teacher, I decided to return to school and became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
Throughout my career as a therapist, I worked for a nonprofit health clinic, a mental health agency, and with the Bergen County Judiciary Court as a parent coordinator. Over ten years ago, I opened my private practice. I’ve worked with clients with depression, anxiety, and behavioral, marital, and parenting issues. Recently, the desire to enhance my work with LGBTQ clients, as well as victims of rape and incest, led me to become a certified sex therapist. While obtaining this certification I increased my knowledge in the treatment of all my clients who need support in areas of sexuality. Most of all, what I believe enhances my work the most is my own experience of marriage and family life. This wisdom cannot be quantified in any degree or certification. It is priceless, and I bring it to every session. I approach clients as unique individuals. I have a direct approach to therapy that is kind and compassionate. My clients describe me as welcoming and easy to talk to. I look forward to the opportunity to connect with you and start the conversation. |
